How To Install Games In Gameloop/Tencent Gaming Buddy

Learn how to install the latest updated PUBG Mobile version in Gameloop/Tencent Gaming Buddy and how to install other games(APK, XAPK, OBB Copy/Pasting)

As you know, our old Tencent Gaming Buddy is renamed as Gameloop and lets you enjoy the PUBG Mobile on your PC. Well, not only PUBG, you can play most of the Android games on PC. For example – Upcoming Call of Duty Mobile – you will be able to play it in Gameloop/Tencent Gaming Buddy. In this guide, you will get to know how to install games manually in Gameloop – Install APK, Obb, Xapk Files!

Install Games In Gameloop/Tencent Gaming Buddy

The very first thing that you need to do is uninstall the older version of Tencent Gaming Buddy. If you are on Windows 10, you have to go to the settings -> apps -> Gameloop/Tencent gaming buddy -> uninstall. After that, install the new version from the official website. Here’s the link: –

Its initial download size is around 10MB.

Once installed, open the folder where you downloaded it. Double click on the package and give Windows the permissions to install in your Windows PC/Laptop. After that, the package will install the Gameloop Emulator on your PC.

Unlike the older version, there would not be any pre-installed game. And, you don’t need to change the language to install other games.

Gameloop Turbo Engine

Once the first phase download is complete, the emulator will install the Gameloop Turbo AOW Engine. You can check it at the bottom of the emulator screen. Make sure that you are connected to a stable internet connection if you don’t want any error.

Gameloop Games Installation – PUBG Mobile Manual Installation

In this part, we will learn how to install games manually in Gameloop Emulator. As an example, we will show you how to install PUBG Mobile manually.

Step 1.) Getting Things Ready

First, you need to have the game’s APK and Obb folder in your PC. Since we are taking PUBG Mobile as an example; you should have PUBG Mobile APK and the obb file. You can get it from the APKPure website. It would be an XAPK file. And, the size would be around 2GB. Once downloaded, rename the (.XAPK) file to (.Zip). Or the easiest way is to download on your Android device and send it to the PC through USB cable. You can use the APK Extractor to get PUBG Mobile APK.

And, for obb, you need to go File manager -> Android -> Obb -> copy the com.tencent.ig folder to your PC.

If you have downloaded from the APKPure, you will get it from the XAPK File(rename it to .Zip and extract it). And, after that, you will get the obb file. The obb file name would be like this – main.11150.com.tencent.ig.obb.

This file should be in a folder – create a folder with the name – com.tencent.ig

And place the file inside it.

Break!

  • com.tencent.ig(Folder which contains obb file)
  • PUBG Mobile APK

Now you have both these things! So let’s get to the second step!

Step 2.) Place The APK and Obb in Shared Folder of Gameloop Emulator

To do that, you have to go to the directory where you have installed the Gameloop Emulator. It’s better to install in the main drive(if you have SSD) – the game might lag if you have HDD.

If you don’t know where is the directory, then right-click the Gameloop icon on the desktop. Navigate to the properties -> shortcut -> check the box next to target. For example – We have installed in the Drive D. And, it shows D/Program Files.

Or simply search the MobileGamePCShared folder in your PC. Find Temp folder -> find and open TxGameDownload folder -> open MobileGamePCShared folder. Paste or place both the files(APK, obb folder) in this folder.

Step 3.) Start Android Emulator

Navigate to the directory where you installed the Gameloop

Click The Picture For Better View

Or simply search the txgameassistant folder in the PC. Navigate to this folder -> open it -> open UI folder -> there you will find an application; Android Emulator.

Double click on it and run it. And, wait until it loads completely. PRESS F9.

Once the loading bar disappears, press the F9 and you will see five apps on your screen. We need to use the browser app. Gameloop Android Emulator

Step 3.) Install ES File Explorer In Gameloop Emulator And Set Up The Files

Open the browser app. Search for ES File Explorer file APK on Google – APKPure. And, download it from APKPure. Once downloaded, install it(swipe from top to bottom two times to see the notification panel in the emulator – from there you can install the ES File Explorer).

Once installed, go back to the home screen of the emulator. (On the right side, double click the exit button, just below the recording sign, to go back to the home screen).

  • Open ES File Explorer
  • Start It
  • At the upper-left corner, tap the menu button(three horizontal lines)
  • Scroll down in the menu and enable root explorer
  • Close the menu(click outside the menu to close it)
  • Navigate to the internal storage
  • Click on / to go to the origin

Gameloop Android Emulator

  • When you tap the / sign, list of folders will appear
  • Find and open the data folder
  • In the data folder, find and open Share1 folder

The Share1 folder is the MobileGamePCShared folder in ES File Explorer. There you will find the obb folder and the APK file. In the Share1 Folder –

  1. Long-press/click the com.tencent.ig folder
  2. Click on the cut option
  3. Go to the home screen of ES File Explorer(tap the home icon near the menu button)
  4. Head to internal storage
  5. Open Android folder
  6. Create a new folder(click on the new option at the bottom-center of the ES File Explorer app screen) and name it obb
  7. Once the obb folder is created inside the Android folder, open it
  8. Open the obb folder and paste the com.tencent.ig folder there

If it shows failed to copy/move -> retry!

Step 4.) Install the PUBG Mobile APK

After pasting the com.tencent.igg folder, which contains the obb file in the internal storage -> Android -> obb, it’s time to install the PUBG Mobile.

  • Go back to the / directory
  • Find and open the data folder
  • Find and open the Share1 folder
  • Click on PUBG Mobile APK file and install it

Step 5.) Start Playing

Gameloop Android Emulator PUBG InstallationGo to the home screen of Gameloop Android Emulator -> PUBG -> give storage permission(tap the OK button if it pops out). After that, download the update(145 MB in size). And, that’s it.

Play PUBG Mobile Android Games On PC With Gameloop EmulatorMake sure to enable Direct X+ in the Gameloop settings -> Engine.

So these are the simple steps that you need to follow to install games on Gameloop Emulator.

In our opinion, the older version was much better -> now it lags a lot! At least in PUBG. You need a powerful PC to run it smoothly.

    • @Prashant You have to download the ES Explorer from APKPure. It would be an APK file, which you have to install it in Tencent Gaming Buddy. Change the language -> +(install app) -> wait until the emulator gets download -> once the installation complete, you can install any game APK with Chinese Language settings).

  9. For all those who are having “Download failed problem” you can fix it by copying the obb file into /-> sdcard -> Android -> [Create a folder named obb ] and then paste the file into it. Later after copying, start the game, it will show “Download failed” message. Then you have to close the gaming buddy [even from tray] and the go back to obb “Folder”, there you will see a new folder named com.tencent.ig or something like that, you have to paste the obb file there and voila! your game will work.

  20. I have downloaded apk and obb from another place not from Apk pure. And I faced problems. The names of the folders and apk are not like you show in screen shoots. And when i run the game, it shows download failed because resources could not be founded. What happen? Only obb (1.4GB) move to Andriod>obb ?? What should i do? tt

    Reply
    • @Anonymous Did you enable the root mode in ES file explorer? If it’s showing obb resources could not be founded, then it means obb is not in the right location. You have to place obb in this location: –
Open ES file explorer -> Internal storage -> Android -> create a folder and name it as obb -> open the obb folder and create a new folder, name it as com.encent.ig -> inside this folder, paste the obb file(for example; main.1021.com.ig.obb).

    • Really, Storage access permission? TGB uses Android KitKat version. And, KitKat does not let the user manage app permission. Can you send the screenshot to our FB page?

    • This problem occurs when there is no Obb in the right folder. Make sure to create the obb folder in right location and then create tencent folder(check above) and place the obb file there. It Should work. Recheck
