Mario Kart Tour Items – Boxes & Frenzy Effect
The number of items that you get from these item boxes is determined by the character that you selected(read our Mario Kart guide or Mario Kart cheats for item bonus details).
If you get the same item in three item slots – an item frenzy mode will be activated for your character.
How To Use Items
You can use the items by tapping the screen or throwing upward/backward(based on the enemy you are trying to hit).
Items Effect: –

Banana
Banana helps you slip the enemies or in reducing their speed. You can throw it upwards or backward by swiping up/down. Also, if you see it on the ground, dodge it.

Giant Banana
The upgrade version of the above-mentioned item. When struck, spins the character’s kart and breaks into three normal size bananas.

Green Shell
You can use it to hit the enemy or as a shield. Keep it behind the kart to protect the character from being hit.

Triple Green Shell
Use it by tapping the screen – throw all the shells at once and hit the enemy.

Red Shell
Want to crash the enemy’s kart? Red Shell is the item that you need.

Spiny Shell
Spiny Shell is one of the best items – it targets the enemy who is at the 1st position – along with the enemies behind it.

Bowser’s Shell
You can throw it upward only – so it would not help you much if you want to knock down the enemy chasing you.

Bob-omb
As the item name says, it explodes and crushes the enemy’s kart!

Double Dob-ombs
Two Bob-ombs – does the same effect! EXPLODE!

Mushroom
Increases speed.

Triple Mushroom
Increases speed.

Mega Mushroom
Increases the kart’s size and lets you crush any opponent you hit.

Bullet Bill
It transforms you into a bullet bill for a certain amount of time – dash forward and hit the enemy.

Blooper
Throws ink on the screen. Can’t see when being hit by blooper? Swipe the screen to clean!

Lightning
Destroys the items held by the opponents – also, makes them slower for a certain amount of time.

Fire Flower
Spins the enemy kart – losing the controls and direction.

Boomerang Flower
Spins the enemy’s kars and collects the coins.

Super Horn
Blows away the crazy items surrounding you – bloopers, spiny shells.

Heart
Provides a shield to the kart.

Yoshi’s Egg
Get the items once it hits.

Bubble
Covers the kart in a bubble – with speed boost, flying buff!

Banana Barrels
Shoot bananas to knock-off enemies ahead of you.

Mushroom Cannon
Shoots out mushroom in front of you.

Lucky Seven
