Maximus 2: Fantasy Beat-Em-Up
Maximus 2: Fantasy Beat-Em-Up is a mobile title released on mobile app stores in April 2022 by Four Fats Limited. It features PvE story mode and an online co-op mode that lets you play with friends offline(connect with Bluetooth) or online with up to 4 players. If you are just starting playing it, this post is for you. It covers the basics, character-building strategies, weapons, combat tips, etc. So let’s not waste any time and get to the main content.
Guide To Characters & Their Stats
At the time of writing this, there are six characters in Maximus 2 Fantasy Beat-Em-Up. These characters are Julius, Otus, Scarlett, Bishop, Shishima, and Penrose. Only one character, Julius, is available for free. You can unlock the other ones by spending coins, which you can earn by defeating the foes during the battle.
Each character has a unique set of abilities; for instance, Penrose has healing skills, Bishop can summon up to two allies, and Julius can block DMG with his shield.
You will start from level 1, and as you grind EXP by defeating enemies on the combat stages, the character’s level will increase. You can reach the max level of 20(new updates may change it).
Character Stats:
- Attack – Increases DMG of basic ATKs and abilities with the sword icon.
- Health – Increases health/hit points. Increase the durability of the character by improving their health stats
- Magic – increases DMG of the abilities that have the lightning icon. And reduces starting time for the super ability.
Build Your Character Wisely
As you progress through the story mode, you will face powerful enemies and challenges, so you must build your character. By building the character, we mean improving their stats by spending the stat points, equipping better gears, leveling up, and picking up the talents.
Stat Points; the character gains stat points upon leveling up. We recommend spending more on Attack and Health stats. If you play as a character with good magic abilities, increase the magic attribute. Luck attribute is also important; it increases the chances of getting food from the boxes and increases the Crit strike chance. So allocate some points to it, but prioritize ATK/Health first.
Talents; at levels 6, 9, 12, 15, and 20, two talents are unlocked. You can pick one of these two talents.
Gears; during the combat expedition, you will find NPCs that sell gears such as weapons, trinkets, and armors. Weapons can improve a character’s ATK/Magic. Armors can improve health and luck. Accessories or trinkets can improve the character stats.
When you hit the enter button on the story mode, selected character’s profile will appear where you can equip gears(bag tab), allocate stat points(bolt symbol), select talents(talent book tab).
Maximus 2: Fantasy Beat-Em-Up Tips For Battle
⇒Always try to dodge the enemy ATKs. Don’t stay at a point; keep moving and jumping. Knock down the enemies using the skills.
⇒Crush or destroy the boxes on the battlefield; you may get free coins or food that gives healing.
⇒Keep an eye on your surroundings; you may find NPCs selling better gear.
⇒Know the combos and try them in the battle. On the stat point allocation screen, on the left side, tap the skill icon to check details. For instance, using the jump button + whirling sword unleash Flying Skewer(Julius).
Repeat The Stages, Grind Coins/XP
Defeat enemies to earn XP and level up; leveling unlocks new talents and abilities. You can repeat the cleared stages and grind coins/XP. Accumulate coins and spend on unlocking new characters.
So that’s all we got in this post on Maximus 2 guide and tips for beginners.
