Fritia – Hush

  • Snowbreak Tier List Rank – Tier 1
  • Role: Single-Target DPS
  • Weapon Type: AR

Fritia Hush’s character bio mentions her exoskeleton’s approval due to its heat ray, which is reflected in her gameplay. Her Strongest Chain ability has decent AoE crowd control and damage, but only pulls in four targets. Her support skill grants a defensive buff and CC immunity but lasts only ten seconds with five hits. Her ultimate, the heat ray, deals high damage but roots her. She heavily relies on manifests for effectiveness, with Manifest 4 being crucial for Tier 0 performance.

Lyfe – Wild Hunt

Lyfe - Wild Hunt
Lyfe – Wild Hunt

Lyfe – Wild Hunt is a powerful operative with strong skill damage and crowd control abilities, making her effective for mobbing. She is rated at Tier 1, though her performance may drop to Tier 3 without manifest 1. She is not tied to a specific weapon, but Stardust Memory is recommended. Prioritize her active skill neuronics for maximum effectiveness.

Snowbreak Tier List: Tier 2 Characters

The following Snowbreak Tier List ranks the Good – Tier 2 characters:

  • Siris – The Gold Fish – Tier 2
  • Ji Chenxing – The Observer – Tier 2

Siris – The Gold Fish
Siris – The Gold Fish
  • Snowbreak Tier List Rank – Tier 2
  • Role: Support, DPS
  • Weapon Type: Shotgun
  • Skills: DMG Reduction[Self]. Deploys a barrier that blocks enemy’s fire[allows allies to shoot back]. Shooting through the barrier grants bonus DMG.
  • Ultimate: Self-Buff[Grants a powerful shield to self + DEF reduction, movement speed, CC Resistance].

Ji Chenxing – The Observer

  • Snowbreak Tier List Rank – Tier 2
  • Role: Support, Healer
  • Weapon Type: AR
  • Ji Chengxing’s zone control playstyle with turret-summoning abilities repels enemies and supports allies. Her Psychic support skill provides healing and boosts skill damage. Upgrade her ultimate or support ability neuronics based on preferred playstyle. Trial’s Eve is a powerful signature weapon. Prioritize Ultimate Thunder neuronic for turret healing mechanic.

Fritia – Little Sunshine

Fritia - Little Sunshine
Fritia – Little Sunshine
  • Snowbreak Tier List Rank – Tier 2 ~ 3
  • Role: Support
  • Range: Mid-Range
  • Weapon Type: AR[Assault Rifle]
  • Skills: Buffs the DMG of the active operative.
  • Fritia, known as Little Sunshine, is one of the few operatives capable of buffing the active operative’s damage with her support skill. She performs at Tier 3 as an active operative, but her true value lies in her support ability. Her support neuronic that boosts final damage to burning targets only affects the bonus damage from her support ability, making her less effective with slower-firing operatives like Yao. However, shotguns benefit greatly from her bonus damage. She is now rated Tier 2 due to reduced synergy with Yao – Winter Solstice. Nevertheless, she remains useful even without manifests. Choosing Strawberry Shortcake is recommended to maximize the value of her support skill. Both support skill neuronics are highly beneficial. If used as an active operative, prioritize her active skill neuronic that increases its range for better crowd control.

Marian – Swift

Marian – Swift
Marian – Swift
  • Snowbreak Tier List Rank – Tier 1 ~ 2
  • Role: Single-Target DPS
  • Range: Long-Range
  • Weapon Type: Sniper
  • Skills: Locks onto a designated target, firing a homing shot and causing the next normal shot to also lock on.
  • To unleash Swift’s full potential, significant manifest investment is required. Most of her abilities’ power is locked behind manifests, making a manifest 0 Swift play drastically differently from a manifest 1 Swift. Without at least manifest 2, Swift’s effectiveness drops to Tier 2, and without manifest 1, potentially even to Tier 3.
  • It is not advisable to rely on Swift as your initial DPS choice, unless you quickly obtain substantial manifest upgrades. Other operatives offer more immediate value due to their versatility. Investing in neuronics for Swift’s active skill and ultimate is recommended, while her support skills have more specific situational utility.

Marian – Queen of Pain

Marian - Queen of Pain
Marian – Queen of Pain

Marian – Queen of Pain Description: Marian, known as Queen of Pain, stands just shy of Tier 1, displaying strong damage potential that rewards strategic positioning to take advantage of her passive buff to ADS ballistic damage while stationary. She excels in mini-boss encounters thanks to her ultimate ability’s low cooldown and energy cost, enabling quick takedowns without the need to reserve it solely for boss fights like Winter Solstice. While her active skill, Smokescreen, is situational, it can serve as a lifeline in tight situations or provide bonus damage when used in conjunction with her ultimate after unlocking the corresponding neuronic. Marian remains useful even without manifests and doesn’t rely on a specific weapon, although the Mark of Mesmer is preferred to further enhance her ADS-focused playstyle. When upgrading her neuronics, prioritize her ultimate ability first. After that, the other four neuronics hold less importance but can still provide valuable enhancements to her overall performance.

Acacia – Redacted

Acacia - Redacted
Acacia – Redacted

Acacia – Redacted Description: Acacia, known as Redacted, is arguably the best operative for dealing with groups of enemies. Her active skill unleashes bouncing daggers that can shred tightly packed hordes with ease. While her ultimate skill may appear limited at first, it can be upgraded to provide a damage boost and also slow down bosses. This allows other DPS units to target weak points more accurately and face less pressure from enemy attacks. Acacia remains useful even without manifests and does not rely on a specific weapon, although the Nexus is preferred to enhance her skill damage. When it comes to upgrading her neuronics, the cooldown reduction neuronic for her active skill holds high value. With a lower cooldown, you can recharge an extra dagger while still throwing the ones already stocked up. Additionally, the neuronic that increases operative attack while in her ultimate zone is recommended for further enhancing her damage output.

Yao – Quiet Quitter

Yao - Quiet Quitter
Yao – Quiet Quitter

Yao – Quiet Quitter Description: Yao, known as Quiet Quitter, holds a unique role as the only available healer in the game, despite being a sniper. She heavily relies on her active ability, Fire Minute Break, to enhance her DPS, so it’s crucial to prioritize upgrading both neuronics for it. With Fire Minute Break active, she transforms into a fast-firing DPS sniper with a bottomless magazine, making her ideal for clearing out groups of enemies at mid to long range. Yao’s healing utility through her support skill and ultimate should not be underestimated. It can be a game-changer in challenging stages like Abyss Purge, where maintaining a high percentage of HP is necessary for optimal rewards. Even without manifests, Yao remains useful. However, once her neuronics are unlocked, she benefits from using a Frost sniper rifle to maximize the value of her abilities. Olympus is an ideal choice. Both neuronics for her active skill are highly recommended as they directly increase her DPS. After upgrading these, investing in the neuronic that allows her support skill’s healing drone to follow the active operative provides extra flexibility in its usage. The remaining neuronics hold lower priority.

Mauxir – Kitty

Mauxir - Kitty
Mauxir – Kitty

Mauxir – Kitty Description: Mauxir, also known as Kitty, stands out as the only viable bossing SMG operative in the game. Her unique soul grab mechanic allows her to overcome the typical weaknesses of SMGs and effectively deal damage to bosses. She possesses a powerful self-buff through her ultimate ability, although the execution effect may have limited usefulness. However, she struggles when facing mobs due to her reliance on the Underworld Program for DPS output and the lack of readily available tools to handle them. Mauxir shows significant potential for future uptiers due to the way her orb damage calculation works, suggesting she may become even stronger in the future. Even without manifests, Mauxir remains useful. She is not heavily reliant on a specific weapon, but Hypchlorous Acid is preferred for optimal performance. Both neuronics for her active skill hold high priority and should be upgraded promptly. The importance of the remaining neuronics is relatively lower in comparison.

Lyfe – Wednesday

Lyfe - Wednesday
Lyfe – Wednesday

Wednesday is a budget version of her SSR variant, Wild Hunt, with attack drones that lack significant damage and CC. Her support and ultimate abilities are outshined by her rarer variant. While her kit is decently designed, her undertuned numbers place her one tier below her 5* variant. She doesn’t heavily rely on manifests, but manifest 1 is easily obtainable through free shards. Weapon-wise, Duckling and Work-in-Progress are both viable choices. All of Wednesday’s neuronics provide meaningful upgrades, though the duration refresh can be tricky to manage without a clear indicator.

Fenny – Lionheart

Fenny - Lionheart
Fenny – Lionheart

Fenny – Lionheart Description: Fenny, also known as Lionheart, may excel at one particular trick, but it’s an exceptionally impressive one. Her ability, Queen Bee, is deceptively amazing, providing mobility and crowd control while offering eventual upgrades that grant her a shield and the ability to reset its cooldown. Interestingly, she pairs well with her counterpart, Coronet, as Queen Bee allows Fenny to deliver Coronet into a crowd of enemies, enabling her to unleash devastating attacks. Queen Bee can also be cast without a target, providing valuable mobility to reposition away from dangerous areas. Additionally, Fenny’s support skill offers useful crowd control, although her ultimate ability is disappointing in terms of damage output and energy consumption for a crowd control tool. Fenny remains “useful” even without manifests, as her intended role is not as a DPS. She does not rely on a specific weapon, but Tiny Grains exhibits good synergy with her role as an initiator. Both neuronics related to her active skill are remarkably strong and worthy of investment. The remaining neuronics hold relatively less importance in comparison.

Snowbreak Tier List: Tier 3 Characters

The following Snowbreak Tier List ranks the Decent – Tier 3 characters:

  • Cherno – Those Two – Tier 3
  • Haru – “The Ace” – Tier 3 ~ 4
  • Nita – Hands – Tier 3

Cherno – Those Two

Cherno - Those Two
Cherno – Those Two

Cherno – Those Two Description: Cherno, also known as Those Two, is another unconventional unit with a mix of useful and underwhelming abilities. Her active skill serves as a reasonable area interrupt, but its limited range hampers its effectiveness until the corresponding neuronic upgrade is obtained, and even then, it remains somewhat lacking. Her support skill disappointingly lacks damage but proves valuable as a repositioning tool, offering utility in certain situations. Clear Empty Skies, her ultimate ability, attempts to compensate for the inherent weaknesses of the SMG class by summoning Beloberg to deal damage. While Beloberg can output strong damage numbers, the inability to directly control its behavior and the constant HP drain on Cherno make it a challenging and occasionally frustrating tool to use, despite the ability to switch to another operative after summoning. Reaching at least manifest 1 is recommended to achieve a baseline level of effectiveness, as Cherno would otherwise be Tier 4. She is not specifically reliant on a particular weapon, but Arctic Fox is recommended for offensive purposes, while Hypchlorous Acid caters to a more defensive, off-tank playstyle. All of Cherno’s neuronics provide meaningful upgrades to her abilities. While prioritizing her ultimate ability neuronics is recommended, the choice ultimately depends on your playstyle and preferences.

Haru – “The Ace”

Haru - “The Ace”
Haru – “The Ace”

Haru – “The Ace” Description: Haru, known as “The Ace,” presents a clunky mix of abilities that result in a confusing playstyle with questionable rewards. Her active skill, Triple Tap, aims to maximize effectiveness through charging, but its long charge time means sacrificing significant gun DPS in return. Vanishing Phantom, her support ability, seems promising as an execute against low-health targets, but its extremely limited range hinders its usefulness. The one bright spot in Haru’s kit is her ultimate ability, which applies a knock-up and provides decent follow-up damage through her Sword of Oaths on hit. However, the dual focus on both knock-up and damage creates a split power budget, resulting in a subpar performance in both aspects. The knock-up lacks damage, and the zone is relatively small, while the Sword of Oaths has a lengthy cooldown that hampers its contribution to overall DPS, even with the neuronic upgrade. Haru’s gameplay strategy does not undergo significant changes with manifests. She prefers the Star Ocean weapon, but whether it’s worth investing resources to obtain it may be questionable. If you are determined to use Haru, all of her neuronics have some utility, and you can invest in them to tailor her playstyle to your preferences.

Nita – Hands

Nita - Hands
Nita – Hands

Nita – Hands Description: Nita, known as Hands, presents a solution in search of a problem. Her active ability serves as a strong close-range crowd control tool while allowing her to generate substantial personal shielding. Additionally, her ultimate and support abilities provide useful crowd control effects. With all her manifest and neuronic upgrades, Nita becomes a durable shield tank with high survivability. However, the current state of the game does not necessitate a main tank role, as enemies do not deal enough damage to require such a specialized role. Furthermore, due to her defensive focus, Nita lacks the consistent damage output to be viable as a shotgun DPS like Coronet and lacks the mobility of Lionheart. While Nita may find a place in the meta in the future, currently, allocating resources to increase overall DPS output would be a more beneficial investment. As Nita gains manifests, she does not undergo major gameplay strategy changes, although her first manifest provides a way to convert her shielding into more damage. She is not reliant on a specific weapon, as her role is not as a DPS, but Precious Baby can enhance her survivability, although it is currently not necessary. Similar to Haru, all of Nita’s neuronics have some utility, and you can invest in them based on how you aim to make her more relevant in the meta.
